Condition notesGreat Used Condition

The Gibson Super 400 is one of the company’s flagship acoustic archtops, combining a carved spruce top with maple back and sides, a maple neck, and an ebony fingerboard. This 1948 example features a 25.5" scale, a C-shaped neck, and a Brazilian rosewood bridge, giving it the refined feel and projection associated with Gibson’s top-tier postwar archtops.

Finished in Sunburst, this example remains in great used condition and retains its original tuners and hardshell case. It has been refretted, with the original nut reshaped and shimmed, and the original saddle reshaped. The pickguard is non-original, the original tailpiece is missing its mounting barrel, and there are a few small structural and cosmetic issues including a slight center-seam separation under the tailpiece, small back cracks, finish touch-up, and a binding repair near the nut.
