Description

This 1939 Gibson L-4 features a spruce top with maple back and sides, a mahogany neck, and a Brazilian rosewood fingerboard. It has a 24.75" scale, approximately 9.5" radius, 1.744" nut width, and a V-shaped neck profile measuring .915" at the 1st fret and 1.019" at the 12th.

This example has seen extensive work over the years, including a neck reset, refret, non-original nut, bridge saddle and base, tailpiece, tuners and bushings, pickguard and bracket, truss rod cover, and fingerboard inlays. Other noted issues include a plugged original pickguard screw hole, missing end pin, a crack around the neck joint, a repaired center-seam crack on the back, spot touch-ups on the top, and a hole in the lower bout side. Overall condition is good, and it includes a hardshell case.
