We are open to the public and appointments are not required. Walk in during store hours and our team will be happy to help. If you are coming to see something specific or consigning a large collection, a quick call ahead is always welcome.

Yes. We offer fair trade-in evaluations and you can put the value toward any guitar in our inventory. As a bonus, trades offset the taxable value of your purchase so you only pay tax on the difference.

We do both. We will always give you a consignment estimate alongside any outright offer so you can compare and decide what works best for you.

Payment goes out 15 business days after the buyer has received and accepted the instrument. In-store sales are non-returnable and the payout happens 15 business days after the sale. Online sales have a 48-hour return window, after which the 15-business-day period begins. We pay by check or ACH deposit.

Most consignments sell within 45 to 60 days. With Norman’s reputation, our TNAG Global network, and a dedicated sales team working on your behalf, your guitar gets in front of the right buyers quickly.

Our goal is to have every guitar listed within 7-14 working days of receiving it. Each instrument is authenticated, cleaned up, set up, strung fresh, photographed, and described before going live.

No appointment needed. Just bring it in during store hours. If you are consigning a collection of five or more instruments, we recommend calling ahead so we can give you the time and attention the process deserves.

We offer some of the lowest consignment rates in the industry:

• Under $3,000: 20%
• $3,000 to $50,000: 15%
• $50,000 to $100,000: 12.5%
• Over $100,000: 10%

An authentication and listing fee of $85 per instrument covers authentication, setup, fresh strings, professional photos, and a full description. There are no upfront costs. All fees are collected after the instrument sells.

We accept all stringed instruments including electric and acoustic guitars, bass guitars, mandolins, banjos, ukuleles, and lap and pedal steel guitars. We also accept amplifiers on a case-by-case basis.

Yes. Norman’s has been collecting and storing instruments for decades and not everything makes it onto the site. If you are looking for something specific and cannot find it, get in touch or come in and ask. There are guitars here that do not appear anywhere online.

A custom demo is a personalized showcase of a specific guitar’s features, tone, and playability. Visit the product page of the guitar you are interested in, click the Request a Demo Video button, and our team will put together a demo tailored to your preferences.

We offer shipping for guitar purchases to your specified address. Once you have selected your guitar and completed the transaction, we will arrange for safe packaging and reliable delivery through trusted shipping carriers. Expedited shipping options are also available on request.

Returns for online purchases must be requested within 48 hours of receipt of the instrument. All refunds are subject to a 3.5% credit card processing fee. In-store purchases, international orders, merchandise, and accessories are not eligible for returns. International orders are subject to duties and taxes at time of delivery.
