Description

The Gibson L-5 CES is one of Gibson’s flagship electric archtops, combining a carved spruce top with maple back and sides, a maple neck, and an ebony fingerboard. Its 25.5" scale, comfortable C-shaped neck, and pair of original Gibson humbuckers give it the warm, articulate response and refined feel associated with the model.

This 1977 example is finished in Sunburst and remains in great used condition. It retains its original tuners and electronics, while the pickup covers, pickguard, and tailpiece have been replaced. The top also has plugged screw holes from a previously installed Bigsby. It weighs 8.2 lbs and includes its original hardshell case.
