Frequently Asked Questions

No appointment needed. Just bring it in during store hours. If you are consigning a collection of five or more instruments, we recommend calling ahead so we can give you uninterrupted time and the best possible experience.

Our goal is to have every guitar listed within 7 working days of receiving it. Each instrument is authenticated, cleaned up, set up, strung fresh, photographed, and described before going live. Every new listing is also promoted in our email newsletter and across our social channels.

Most consignments sell within 60 days. With Norman’s reputation, the TNAG Global network, and a dedicated sales team working on your behalf, your guitar gets in front of the right buyers quickly.

Payment goes out 15 business days after the buyer has received and accepted the instrument. We pay by check or ACH deposit. Any fees including authentication, repairs, and shipping are deducted from the payout after the consignment rate is applied.

Our repair team handles it in-house with no upfront cost. Basic setup and fresh strings are included in the listing fee. Any additional repair work comes out of the payout only after your guitar sells.

Our initial consignment period is 90 days. After that, we can continue on a month-to-month basis. We may suggest a price adjustment based on current market conditions, but you are always in control of the pricing. If you want the guitar back after 90 days, just let us know.

Yes. If you want immediate payment rather than waiting for a sale, we do buy guitars outright. Get in touch and we will make you an offer alongside a consignment estimate so you can compare and decide what works best for you.

We accept all stringed instruments including electric and acoustic guitars, basses, mandolins, banjos, ukuleles, and lap and pedal steel guitars. We also accept amplifiers on a case-by-case basis.
