Gibson SG Standard 2001, Cherry

This 2001 Gibson SG features the classic 490R neck and 498T bridge pickup combination, a pairing commonly found on SG Standards of this era. The 490R delivers warm, rounded tones, while the higher-output 498T offers added punch and bite, making for a versatile setup well suited to everything from vintage rock to heavier overdriven tones.

Its lightweight mahogany body, legendary double-cutaway profile, and excellent upper-fret access establish this model as a favorite among rock players. This example wears a Heritage Cherry finish, with the slightly more orange-red hue characteristic of some examples from this period.

In terms of condition, there is a significant ding on the back of the neck around the 7th fret. Otherwise, this is a very clean example.
