This Gibson Custom Limited Edition 1954 Les Paul Custom Reissue puts a distinctive spin on the classic Black Beauty formula. It pairs the traditional all-mahogany construction, ebony fingerboard, gold hardware, and ornate Custom appointments with a Custom Staple P-90 in the neck and a Custombucker Alnico 3 humbucker in the bridge, giving it a wider tonal range than a standard '54-style setup.Finished in Murphy Lab Heavy Aged Ebony nitro, it has the look and feel of a well-played vintage instrument, complete with aged hardware and plastics. The chunky '50s D neck, long tenon construction, ABR-1 bridge, Kluson Waffleback tuners, and Lifton-style hardshell case round out a very traditional Custom Shop build with a less traditional pickup pairing.
