A 1963 Epiphone Professional Thinline Electric Guitar with the EA-7P amp is a rare, sold-as-a-package electric guitar and a 15-watt amplifier from the 1962-1966 production run. The amp has no independent controls; instead, all its features, such as tone, volume, tremolo, and reverb, are controlled by the guitar's knobs and switches via a multi-pin cable.

  • Guitar: The "Thinline" refers to its semi-hollow, double-bound maple body, which is thinner than a solid-body guitar. It features a mahogany neck with rosewood fingerboard, pearl block inlays, and a mini-humbucking pickup. Finishes include Cherry.
  • Amp: The EA-7P is a 15-watt, 12-inch speaker amplifier designed to work exclusively with the Professional guitar, as it lacks its own controls.
  • Controls: The guitar's pickguard has controls for volume, tone, tremolo (on/off and depth/frequency), and reverb (on/off and level). It also has five "tonexpressor" switches for tonal changes.
  • Connection: A multi-pin cable connects the guitar to the amp, although a standard 1/4" input is also present on the amp if one wishes to play without the built-in effects.
